The Jazz Age Days ’Really Swung’ at St Alban’s/St Luke’s, Harlow

On June 5th and 6th I delivered 2 days of workshops and concerts with KS1 pupils at both schools. The children learnt the Charleston dance, they also sung and played their own home-made trumpets and shakers in a Mardi Gras version of Oh When Saints Come Marching In. The children learnt about the history of jazz and performed with me for their parents at the end of each day. Executive Headteacher, Mrs Anne-Marie McCann said “What a wonderful experience for all of us! Everyone was engaged, from the youngest child to the grandparents at the performances.
